Born in Cuba, Rosangel Perez began her piano career at the age of 5. She studied privately until she moved to the United States at age 12. During the time she lived in Miami, she continued her studies under the guidance of Dr. Rosalina Sackstein.  At age 17, Rosangel was awarded a scholarship to study at the Pre-College Division of Manhattan School of Music, NY. She later received a full scholarship to pursue a Bachelor’s of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Miami, under the tutelage of the legendary Santiago Rodriguez. Rosangel has performed with a large variety of instrumentalists, also including large ensembles, such as the Frost Wind Ensemble and Frost Symphony Orchestra. She has received Top Prize awards in various competitions and as a result has performed in known concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and the Kaufman Music Center in New York. Rosangel has been teaching piano for 5 years and truly enjoys working with students of all ages.
