2019 MCofM YOUTH MUSICAL THEATRE COMPETITION

Accepting students from the Miami Conservatory of Music from grades 2nd–12th, this competition takes place in one round and is divided in two levels:
Junior I for grades 2nd–6th
Junior II for grades 7th–12th

The applicants must perform two contrasting Musical Theatre pieces from memory.

Dates

January 31st, 2019 | Applications must be postmarked by this date and payment of $25 made
March 2, 2019 | Auditions at Miami Conservatory of Music Hall
March 4, 2019 | Winners Announcement
April 13, 2019 | Performance and Awards of all the winners at the Miami Conservatory of Music Hall
May 19, 2019 | Performance of the 1st-Place Winners at the Gusman Hall of the University of Miami accompanied by the MCofM Chamber Orchestra

Prizes:
$250 (1st) plus a performance at Miami Conservatory of Music (with piano accompanist) and a performance at a concert venue with the MCofM Chamber Orchestra
$150 (2nd) plus a performance at Miami Conservatory of Music (with piano accompanist)
$100 (3rd) plus a performance at Miami Conservatory of Music (with piano accompanist)
