Conductor and violinist Liber Cuervos is firmly established as a music educator and violin performer. He began his musical studies at an early age on the violin in the world renown music program “El Sistema” in his hometown Aragua in Venezuela to later continue his studies of violin in the “Conservatorio Superior de Musica Simon Bolivar” and the “Instituto Universitario de Estudios Musicales under the guidance of Maestro Rodolfo Saglimbeni. Later on he moved to Miami Fl. USA to continue studies in New World School of the Arts and the University of Miami with Violin teachers Cathy Meng, Thomas Moore and Glenn Basham.
Liber is the founding member of the String Quartet Reverón, which embraced an important labor performing chamber music in Venezuela. He has toured with several orchestras in countries like Mexico, Argentina and France and with the Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in Russia, Greece, Italy and Cuba. He was the conductor of the Emil Friedman Youth Orchestra in Venezuela. He is often invited to conduct youth and professional orchestras in Venezuela, as Venezuela Symphonic Orchestra, Carabobo Symphonic Orchestra, and several youth orchestras across the country. He is currently principal conductor of the Sinfonia Orchestra of the Miami Music Project and violin teacher artist.
